These women are making waves in the music industry, behind the scenes and on the airwaves. Get to know their names.


The Manager:  Tiffany J. —Meshach Management, COO

Tiffany J. has been a boss almost from the start. Before she managed careers of R&B and hip-hop stars as COO of Meshach Management, she ran her own promotions company, Street Dreamz, and was an executive at one of Atlanta’s biggest hip-hop labels. She’s launched award-winning careers and is always on the lookout for the next big talent. Follow her @TiffanyJManager to keep up with where music takes her next.


The Attorney: Uwonda Carter—The Carter Law Firm, PC, Owner

On any given day, Uwonda Carter, Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Associations’ 2017 Entertainment Lawyer of the Year, is helping the songwriters, television personalities, comedians, authors, and executives who make up her entertainment practice navigate legal transactions. When she’s not negotiating on behalf of those who keep us dancing, laughing and crying, Carter mentors the next generation of entertainment legal minds by working with law students. The Executive: Nicole Plantin—Rostrum Records, Vice-President A&R

In her new role as Vice President of A&R at Rostrum Records, Nicole Plantin connects the dots between the creative and business sides of her artists’ careers. She’s signed some of the hottest names in hip-hop and R&B to record deals, all the while promoting a brand of female empowerment rooted in encouragement and self-determination. “Any woman pursing a dream is a lioness with a vision,” Plantin says. “I hope to represent her in the best possible way.”  Her social tag is @Nikkiliciousp


The Talent: Jazzy McBee—Streetz 94.5 FM, Radio Host

Multitalented radio host Jazzy McBee is known for getting the tough interviews. Off-air she uses her entertainment industry connects to help young women through her nonprofit, the Fab 5 Foundation, which is focused on nurturing confidence and promoting education. The Mogul: Jennifer Drake—Sony/ATV Music Publishing, Senior Director

Jennifer Drake’s client list includes brands and names that span generations and genres. Respected by her peers, Drake also serves as a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy, and on the board of several nonprofit foundations.
