Meet the LA talent next on the glow up

Hollywood is land of dreams and dreamers. It’s no wonder then that you can find some of the music industry’s best talent living and working there. The three artists featured below represent just a taste of what Los Angeles has to offer when it comes to the music scene.

Ill Camille

A self-proclaimed “Jane-Of-All-Trades,” L.A. based hip-hop artist Ill Camille credits God with setting her on her musical path. Though a fan of a variety of genres— including jazz and hip-hop—music was not something she initially pursued. But a friend told a friend about her freestyle skills, and Camille soon found herself songwriting for others. An album, Heirloom, soon followed. Follow her at @illcamille to keep up with her post-BETX European tour.

Tia P

Not one to be put in a box, lyricist Tia P is determined to be a leader and make her own lane.  And in keeping with that ethos, she encourages her fans to “do you and be an original.”  Tia P is currently working on a three-month EP project called Trilogy. The goal, she says, is to keep making us think while bopping our heads and tapping our feet. Stay updated on new music and appearances by following her at @iamtiap.

Drayon

Singer-songwriter Drayon might be relatively new to the music scene, but musical talent is part of his DNA. He comes from a family of gospel performers. For the past six years, he’s been pursuing a solo career and credits social media for helping him “connect with audiences and keep [that] connection.” Keep up with him online at @drayonofficial on social media.
