Funk Fest 2017 Kicks Off Apr. 29
Celebrate old-school music with AT&T
Celebrate the cultural heritage of old-school music with AT&T at Funk Fest 2017’s Orlando, Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta shows this spring. Eat good food, hang with good people and dance the day away to acts like Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Erykah Badu, Doug E. Fresh and more. For more than 20 years, Funk Fest has been one of the country’s largest traveling music festivals, entertaining close to 110,000 people each year with line-ups including some of the top platinum-selling artists in R&B, hip hop and soul from the past two decades.
“Our goal at AT&T is to help customers live life on their own terms,” says Gardenia Montalvo-Jivanjee, AT&T Sr. Marketing Manager-Diversity. “Supporting a heritage event like Funk Fest is just one way we are living up to that promise. I’m looking forward to seeing all the pics and videos from this year’s shows.”
Tickets for all three shows are now available. Orlando is up first on Apr. 29, followed by Jacksonville on May 6 and Atlanta on May 19.
Atlanta is a three-day show and will feature performances by Erykah Badu, Ro James and Digable Planets on Friday; Bell Biv Devoe, Guy Featuring Teddy Riley, Mystikal, En Vouge, and SWV on Saturday with Kenny “BabyFace” Edmonds, Brandy and Joe rounding up the weekend on Sunday. Fans can expect the same high-energy performances and great atmosphere that Funk Fest is known for, as well as complimentary parking and shuttle service to the venue from designated lots, and the option to bring in food and drinks.
